Donie Shine presents county medals to the Boys and Girls Gaelic Teams who are both 2010 county champions!

Today we did a maths trail. There were 21 questions on the sheet. We had problems to solve and shapes to find. We had to count our strides from Mrs. Conway’s office to the new prefab. We also got to make up our own questions.

It was great fun doing maths outside especially on a day like today.

Then we went up to the classroom and we checked our answers with the others.

On Wednesday 3^rd and 4^th went to Fort Lucan, Dublin for their school tour. It was a glorious  day and the sun shun over us as we played. There were 3 waterslides. The three waterslides were different colours, the green slide was the steepest, the blue had the most twist and twirls and the red was the fastest. There were trampoline’s, go-karts and an adventure park. On the way home we stopped at Supermac`s for something to eat and drink. It is over for now but were already looking forward to next years.

This week we enjoyed our trip to Turoe Pet farm.  On Thursday we had a celebration in school for the raising of the great flag which was great fun.  Today we are finishing off our special gifts for Sunday….don’t tell Dad!

We are all looking forward to the raising of the green flag today at 1:15 and we welcome back Mrs Rosaleen Fallon for the celebrations.

We had a fantastic day in Turoe Pet farm yesterday. All the children had a great day and were very well behaved!

The  boys county final is on  monday at 4pm in Kiltoom.

Our tour is on this Wednesday the 16th.  The bus departs at 9.30 and we will be back before 3 oclock.  Please bring a drink and snack and make sure you wear sun cream and a sun hat for the promised good weather.  We are also looking forward to the Green Flag celebrations on Thursday and of course the holidays.

We are all very excited about our upcoming school tour to Jumpin’ Jacks in Tullamore next Tuesday June 15th. The children need to wear their uniform jumper and shorts, and bring a drink and a snack.
